“National Security Service Discloses 70 Cases in 48 Hours; Drug Trafficking, Violence, and Bribery Among the Revelations”

According to the activity reports of the National Security Service of Armenia, there were 70 cases of operational activities disclosed from November 20 to 21. Out of these cases, 10 were conducted previously.

These cases included the discovery of drug trafficking, with 12 cases reported. Additionally, there were 9 cases of physical violence detected, 5 cases of bribery prevention, 4 cases of personal property theft prevention, 3 cases each of physical assault and drug trafficking prevention, 2 cases each of housing violence prevention, counterfeiting and official document forgery prevention, and 1 case each of mental violence prevention, robbery prevention, confiscation of illegal goods, employees’ exploitation prevention, smuggling prevention, arrests, fines or other payment evasion, and maximum penalty for drug possession and sexual crime committed by an individual not previously convicted.

In addition, there are 2 ongoing criminal cases and 4 pending investigations. During this period, 3 individuals were arrested.

Previously conducted operations resulted in the prevention of personal property theft in 6 cases. Furthermore, there was 1 case each of detection of physical violence, prevention of housing violence, prevention of sexual crime, and prevention of vandalism of public property.

Within the past day, there were 14 traffic accidents registered in the country, resulting in 17 individuals sustaining various injuries.
