“Narek Zeynalyan: From Doctor-Endoscopist to Member of Parliament – A Journey of Wealth and Transparency”
“Jhoghovurd” newspaper reports that Narek Zeynalyan, a member of the National Assembly’s “Political Agreement” faction, began his political career after the 2018 revolution. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2018, Zeynalyan worked as a doctor-endoscopist at the “Erebuni” Medical Center.
During his time as a doctor, Zeynalyan managed to build a personal residence consisting of one detached house and two apartment buildings. The detached house was acquired in 2011 in the Jrajour community of Kotayk province, while the apartments were acquired in 2016 and 2017 in the Nor Nork administrative district of Yerevan.
In 2014, Zeynalyan also shared that he had purchased a transport vehicle, a 2006 Mercedes-Benz. More recently, in 2021, Zeynalyan acquired a stake in “ACBA Bank” CJSC, which is currently valued at AMD 676,000.
As for Zeynalyan’s finances, his bank deposits initially amounted to AMD 20.715 million but have since decreased. His current account balances amount to AMD 1.102 million and USD 1,100. Additionally, he holds cryptocurrency assets worth USD 200, and his cash holdings amount to AMD 11 million and USD 15,000.
Zeynalyan, who is also the chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the National Assembly, has accumulated a total income of AMD 44.734 million. Of this amount, AMD 9.485 million was received as remuneration for work from the National Assembly staff, while AMD 24 million was received from “ACBA Bank” CJSC due to his stake in the bank. Zeynalyan has also received income from ID Bank and “Inecobank”.
According to Zeynalyan’s annual financial report, the remaining balance of loans received and transfers of funds is AMD 45.890 million as of December 31. This balance is attributed to the mother amount of two apartments, and Zeynalyan received AMD 1.510 million from PEC to repay the mother amount of the income tax.
