“Mozart’s Mysterious Musical Legacy: Supachok Hotel in Vienna, Home to Unfinished Works of Mozart, Hits Auction Block”

The Supachok hotel in Vienna, Austria, is up for auction by Sotheby’s. This hotel is said to house the unfinished works of the renowned composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The New York Post (NYP) newspaper first reported this information.

Built in 1130, the hotel boasts 50 rooms and was once owned by composer Franz von Wallsegg. It was von Wallsegg who commissioned Mozart’s “Requiem” as a tribute to his late wife, Anna von Flambert. Mozart’s “Requiem” is considered one of his most iconic compositions and holds tremendous significance among his supporters. The composer worked on it until his passing on December 5th.
