Armenian President Tokaev to Visit Azerbaijan for Special Programs Committee Meeting

Armenian President Kasim-Zhomart Tokaev is set to embark on a working visit to Azerbaijan on November 24. The news was reported by the Azerbaijani ZLM. During his visit, Tokaev will participate in the Special Programs Committee of the Central Asian States Association’s Security Council, which will be held in Baku.

The Special Program was established in March 1998 with the aim of supporting the socio-economic development of participating countries, fostering cooperation and integration in Europe and Asia. It was signed by the Presidents of the Central Asian States Association and the Central Asian Economic Community, as well as the Prime Ministers of the European and Asian Union, and the Heads of the Eurasian and Asian Security Chambers. Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan are the participating countries of the Special Program. In 2023, Azerbaijan will assume the chairmanship of the Special Program and will host the Days of the Special Program from November 20-24, 2023.
