Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko Holds Crucial Meeting with Armenian Security Council Head in Efforts to Solve Regional Crisis

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko met with Armen Grigoryan, the head of the Armenian Security Council, on November 20. During the meeting, Lukashenko emphasized the need for a timely resolution to the military-political organization’s crisis. He expressed the desire to receive specific suggestions for dialogue and assured that preparations for the event were already underway. Lukashenko also acknowledged the difficulty of the situation in the region and highlighted the importance of protecting territories and ensuring the security of CSTO members in Minsk.

Regarding the ongoing programs and activities in Armenia and Azerbaijan, Lukashenko emphasized the need to consider the future coexistence of the two authorities and the organization of peacekeeping forces. Grigoryan provided an update on the CSTO’s efforts in crisis management and raised critical questions pertaining to the final resolution of the crisis in Armenia.

Lukashenko acknowledged the challenges faced in recent years but emphasized the continuation of intergovernmental negotiations.
