The leadership of the EAHCA district conference criticized orders that failed to reach Yerevan, stating that they lacked clear explanations. During a press conference on November 18, the chairman of the EAHCA external relations committee, Sarkis Khachandyan, revealed that Russia had explicitly informed the EHEC President that their order would not participate in the conference. Khachandyan clarified that the EAHCA of Armenia does not send orders to embassies, discrediting its international authority. He was unsure about Turkey’s order as he lacked information on the matter. Khachandyan also mentioned that the EAHCA in Armenia had informed the EHEC President and the Conference on Security about their readiness to ensure the security of Azerbaijani ambassadors, who did not attend.
On November 18, the EHEC District Conference commenced in Yerevan at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex. The conference will run until November 20 and will address the theme, “EAHCA at the crossroads of time: in the question of internal and external marches,” as described in the program memorandum. Discussions will also focus on regional integration and preservation.
