Today, three students in the dormitories of YSU were injured and suffered casualties due to an explosion. According to the Ministry of Health, three students have been hospitalized with serious injuries. Additional medical assistance and investigations are required.

Unfortunately, there has been a fatality based on initial information about the explosion.

More details will be provided regarding the condition of the injured individuals.

Earlier, NEWS.am reported that this morning an explosion occurred in the chemistry faculty of YSU, where employees had been working. According to preliminary information, three people were transferred to the hospital in critical condition. The cause of the explosion is still unclear.

NGO’s rescue team and emergency vehicles have arrived on the scene. The rescue team and the emergency vehicles of the Fire and Rescue Service are also involved.

All students in the dormitories have been evacuated.
