“Pharmaceutical Misconduct Endangers Public Health: AMD 463 Million in Fines Imposed”
During the current year, there have been several violations in the pharmaceutical field that pose a threat to public health and workplace safety. The official body responsible for healthcare and labor regulations has reported these findings.
According to NEWS.am, inspections have revealed serious violations committed by authorized inspectors who were supposed to oversee pharmaceutical activities and detect any illegal practices. As a result, fines totaling AMD 463,290,000 have been imposed.
Analysis of the inspections and subsequent actions taken by the authorities clearly indicate that these violations were primarily the result of collaboration among those involved. The main issues identified included the illegal importation of unregistered medicines, the importation of medicines in violation of regulations, and the distribution of unregistered or improperly registered medicines.
The responsible individual inspectors of the authorized inspections bore the brunt of the fines, amounting to a total of AMD 345,600,000. These inspectors hold direct responsibility for the violations observed.
To ensure the proper execution of their authority and protect public health, the regulatory body for healthcare and labor will continue to conduct inspections going forward.
