Yerevan Mayor Suren Gregorian has announced that he does not believe that additional funds will be allocated for the organization of the annual light show this year. The mayor expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of last year’s show and explained that a new company has been contracted to organize this year’s show with better quality and a new design.

Gregorian emphasized that the value of the contract was determined based on the inadequacy of the previous year’s budget. He also stated that the annual light show in Yerevan is not guaranteed to always take place, but will instead be held in a different location.

When asked about the government’s decision to allocate significant funds for security measures in the midst of an emergency situation, Gregorian responded by stating that we should not deprive children of their happiness and childhood. He believes that children should always have abundance in our country, with lights and celebrations.

The mayor also expressed his belief that firefighters also require an annual budget to fulfill their needs.
