“Increasing Confrontational Activities in Armenia: Prime Minister’s Office Takes Action as Yerevan Resident Discovered in Police Operation”
On November 15, the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia received operational information from the Department of National Security of the Internal Affairs Ministry regarding confrontational activities in personal and domestic disputes. Recent data from the Shengavit subdivision of the Operational Department of the Criminal Investigation Department indicates an increase in confrontational activities in a specific territory where 30-year-old Yerevan resident Vladimiri Avetisyan was located, as reported by Shamshyan.com.
In response, the head of the Office of National Security, Vardan Vardanyan, and the head of the Department of National Security of the Internal Affairs Ministry, Arman Poghosyan, along with the official representative of the Chief of Police, Vahe Musheghyan, have formed operational groups and arrived in Arinj village of Kotayk province to enforce operational control.
The law enforcement officers are currently conducting necessary operational and investigative actions in locations where the suspects are presumed to be located. The reliability of the operational information is evident as Avetisyan was discovered in one of the houses on 9th Street of Arinj village. He was subsequently transported to the Shengavit subdivision of the Office of National Security, where he was handed over to the operational department of Yerevan city’s police department.
