“Armenian Prime Minister Acknowledges Challenges in Resolving Public Requests Amidst Corruption Concerns”

On November 16, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the activation of corona measures in Armenia during a discussion of the budget project for 2024 in the NA Standing Committee. Pashinyan highlighted the challenges faced by the government when dealing with requests from the public. While they receive and categorize these requests, finding a solution for every issue is not always feasible. The resolution to these challenges can vary, as it may involve fighting against corruption or clarifying rules to prevent bribery. Pashinyan emphasized the need to acknowledge the presence of corruption and combat it effectively.

One of the obstacles the government encounters is the broad scope of corruption, which extends beyond corrupt officials. Various methods contribute to the prevalence of bribery, and it’s not just the public who encounter these issues. Even high-ranking officials, such as the head of the State Revenue Committee, have encountered instances of bribery. The scale of the government’s responsibilities adds another layer of complexity, as any unresolved issue can quickly escalate into a problem.

It is essential to address these challenges to ensure effective governance and the well-being of the citizens. The government’s commitment to tackling corruption and finding solutions to public requests is crucial in building trust and creating a transparent system. Despite the difficulty of the task, it is through continuous efforts and a united front against corruption that significant progress can be made.
