He stated that the rights of the people of Artsakh cannot be achieved solely through calls and protests. Arakelyan made these remarks on his Facebook page, highlighting the importance of the external political system in Armenia in this regard.

Arakelyan also addressed the listeners in the US Congress, acknowledging that the discussion surrounding Artsakh, including its potential return, is understandable. However, he expressed concern over the executive authority’s role in excluding the issue of Artsakh from the Armenian system. Arakelyan suggested that this authority seems more interested in distancing itself from the Artakh issue through a discussion mechanism.

In Arakelyan’s view, the issue of Artsakh goes beyond individual interests and becomes a matter of national security in the Armenian political system. By emphasizing this, he underscores the importance of addressing and resolving the Artsakh situation within a broader context.
