Doctors and supporters of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan have joined forces to create a new norm that seeks to silence individuals like Narek Malyan. During Malyan’s trial on November 15th, lawyer Tigran Atanesian expressed concern about the collusion between the educational system and political authorities, calling it a violation of professional ethics. Atanesian questioned the significance of the new norm in the educational code, suggesting that it is a means to persecute certain groups, including supporters of the “Kiev Seagulls” and hypothetical associations of pedophiles. He also accused the association of damaging Artsakh, inciting hatred towards Orthodox Christians, and risking national security. Malyan, who was arrested on September 20th, faces charges related to public disorder and offensive activities.
