Dubai International Airport Set to Surpass Pre-Pandemic Passenger Records, Aiming for Recovery Amidst COVID-19 Restrictions

Dubai International Airport is set to break its 2019 passenger record, despite the decrease in the number of travelers due to the global impact of the coronavirus pandemic and travel restrictions. In the third quarter of this year, the airport received 64.5 million passengers, and by the end of the year, it is expected to exceed 86.3 million passengers, surpassing the previous year’s record of 66 million passengers. The CEO of Dubai Airports, Paul Griffiths, remains optimistic about the recovery, stating that with a comprehensive network of 250 destinations, 95 airlines, and 105 countries, they can still raise this forecast. India, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, the United States, and Russia are among the top countries in terms of traffic to Dubai’s main airport.
