President of the Regional Government Jacob Simidyan and the head of the organizing committee, Tigran Gabrielian, participated in the Armenian-Iranian high-level and monitoring conference on the preparation of the regional conference. The press service of the regional government reported this to NEWS.am. During the conference, discussions were held on Iran’s economic and cultural cooperation with Armenia, as stated by Levon Azizyan, the head of the “Hydro-meteorology” department of the Regional Government. The Prime Minister expressed the Republic of Armenia’s appreciation for the continuous cooperation between Armenia and Iran, not just politically, but also economically and culturally.

Prior to attending the conference, the Minister held discussions with business partners to address the challenges faced by the organizing committee and to review the progress of the high-level and monitoring works. President Jacob Simidyan commended the successful cooperation between the regional government and the two countries and highlighted the significant results achieved by the joint activities of the “Regional Hydrometeorology”. The head of the Iranian Islamic Republic of Iran, regional governor Iradj Heshmatt, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to attend the conference and presented a certificate of appreciation for the cooperation between Armenia and Iran.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran in maintaining peace, stability, and mutual respect. He highlighted that the alliance between the two countries extends beyond politics and contributes to regional and global security. The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the comprehensive discussions held on the preservation of the Regional Government and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as the exemplary cooperation in protecting internal and international interests.

The conference also featured presentations on the achievements and ongoing activities of the Arax River Protection program, as well as the implementation of work plans.
