On November 14, at 08:48, the regional headquarters of the Lori region’s Civil Defense and Emergency Situations Ministry received information about a fire in the village of Teghut, specifically in an area called “Yeleri Ghash.” The MES Rescue Service was immediately dispatched to extinguish the fire.

An operational group and a detachment of search and rescue personnel, totaling five units, were present at the scene, according to the MES Rescue Service.

The fire was successfully localized at 15:00 and completely extinguished at 17:02. Approximately 30 hectares of grassland and shrubs were destroyed by the fire.

In addition to the MES Rescue Service, a team from the “Hayantar” SNCO’s “Tumanyan’s Forest Reserve” division also assisted in the firefighting efforts. This team consisted of 16 employees from various forest service divisions, namely “Shnogi,” “Tsagkashti,” and “Tumanyan.”

This incident highlights the importance of prompt response and coordination between different rescue and emergency services to protect our natural surroundings and prevent further damage.
