Armenia’s response to Azerbaijan’s demands of resettling eight border villages has caused concern. Tigran Avrahamyan, head of the “I Have Honor” faction, announced during a press conference at the National Assembly that Azerbaijan is not discussing boundary and demarcation issues, but making direct territorial demands. Avrahamyan mentioned that according to the Karabakh agreement, Azerbaijan intends to remove Armenia from territories that were occupied during the 44-day war. The so-called peacekeeping agreement with Armenia is actually a protocol for new territorial demands. This approach brings condemnation and isolation to Armenia, leaving no chance for success in preventing occupation and serving the interests of international stakeholders and Turkey-Azerbaijan’s regional ambitions.
