During a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, President Sargsyan emphasized the significance of this step. The presidential spokesperson, Karen Karapetyan, reiterated this sentiment, stating that the measure was specifically aimed at combating money laundering and nothing more. In response to the request made by the Prime Minister of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, to discuss this decision, Karapetyan affirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring security in such situations.
