“Lori Regional Rescue Service Saves Trapped Driver in Dramatic Highway Accident”
On November 11, at 16:28, the Lori Regional Rescue Service’s emergency center received a distress call reporting an accident involving a CJTF on the Alaverdi-Bagratashen highway. The incident involved a blocked city resident who required assistance, prompting the need for emergency rescuers to intervene. NGN rescue services have been informed of the situation.
The incident took place at the aftermath of the clash-rescue between the Lori Regional Rescue Service and the earthquake-rescue service on October 31.
According to reports, at approximately the 10th kilometer of the Alaverdi-Bagratashen highway, a Ford car (driven by V. A., born in 1972) veered off the road, rolled about 5 meters, and was stuck in a ravine. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle.
The rescuers successfully unloaded the car, closed the gas valve, cleared the area, freed the driver from the blockade, and promptly transported him to the hospital. The injured person has been hospitalized.
