“Burglary and Assault: Young Belarusian Woman Robbed in Armenia’s Capital”
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, specifically the Arabkir division, has prepared important documentations that have been transferred to the Criminal Committee of the Yerevan Municipality of the Armenian Judicial Department, according to reports by SHAMSHYAN.com.
On November 5, a 23-year-old resident of Belarus named Anahit Gritchenkon filed a report at the Arabkir division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Yerevan, Armenia. She stated that on that day, around 06:00, an unknown individual broke into her apartment, where she lives alone. The intruder physically assaulted her and took away 220 thousand drams, 400 USD, her Belarusian passport, and her “iPhone” mobile phone before escaping.
When the perpetrator made demands, the victim followed their instructions and handed over her stolen belongings. The intruder then fled the scene, leaving behind the 220 thousand drams, 400 USD, Belarusian passport, and “iPhone” mobile phone.
The incident was immediately reported to Sergey Kocar, the head of the Yerevan Municipality, as well as Ruben Nersisyan, the head of the division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. Mamikonyan, the governor of the division, was also informed via an operational line. The investigation is now focused on identifying the individual responsible for the alleged crime and determining their motive.
