“Arman Grigoryan’s Rapid Rise: From Rallies to Record-Breaking Salary as Head of National Security Council”

“Zhoghovurd” newspaper has reported that Arman Grigoryan, a member of the “Civil Contract” party and Advisor to the National Security Council, has secured a highly coveted position following his active participation in numerous rallies during the Velvet Revolution. Since assuming this role in 2018, Grigoryan’s salary has increased to 14,105,000 drams. Currently serving as the head of the NSC, his salary has further risen to 21,909,000 drams.

It is important to note that Grigoryan’s salary has doubled due to his involvement in significant events and encounters. In 2018, when the position of Chief Adviser to the Prime Minister was established, he received a salary of 14,105,000 drams. Subsequently, in January of the following year, Grigoryan was provided with a new car. He purchased a 2005 Lexus, as he did not own a vehicle prior to his appointment as Advisor to the National Security Council. Furthermore, according to his declaration, Grigoryan does not possess any real estate assets.

Previously, Grigoryan served as the Chief of Staff to President Serzh Sargsyan. During the Constitutional amendments in 2015, he organized the “City Observer” initiative, which attracted over 1000 observers.

In April 2017, Grigoryan organized the “City Observer” initiative during the parliamentary elections in Armenia. In April-May 2018, he participated in the Tajikistan Sustainable Development project held in Armenia.

In addition, the remaining balance in Grigoryan’s bank accounts is 1,685,000 drams, and his annual income for 2022 amounts to 27,454,000 drams.

It is also worth noting that Grigoryan, who is affiliated with KP, has recently acquired a new house and car following the revolution. On December 31, the remaining balance of his received loans, along with changes in the value of his mother’s real estate, amounted to 47,018,000 drams. He has made use of 5,545,000 drams received from KP to repay the sum associated with his mother’s income tax.

Moreover, Grigoryan has borrowed loans totaling 6,429,000 drams. It is important to recognize that Arman Grigoryan is a prominent political figure whose removal from his position is unlikely. However, his time in KP has occasionally caused dissatisfaction, leading to his swift dismissal.
