“Armenian Prime Minister and French President Discuss Cooperation, European Partnership, and Regional Security”
Armenian Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili, recently had a meeting with French President, Emmanuel Macron. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the cooperation between Armenia and France, as well as ways to improve the situation in Armenia. This information was reported by the Armenian news portal, “Commersant”.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister of Armenia emphasized the importance of the decision and expressed the country’s expectation to receive the status of a European partner from the European Council by December 2023. The two leaders also discussed collaboration in various fields and reviewed visual representations of events related to their convergence.
Security issues, both regionally and globally, were also a topic of discussion. Both leaders recognized the positive role that Armenia can play in ensuring security and stability in the South Caucasus. Garibashvili expressed his gratitude to Macron for the invitation to Armenia, highlighting Armenia’s internal development, territorial integrity, and aspirations to become a part of Europe.
