This announcement from the Observation Program reveals that October 2023 holds the title of the warmest month globally between the years 1991 and 2020. The average temperature for this month exceeded the new norm by 0.85 degrees, making it 0.4 degrees higher than the previous record. It’s not just the air that has been affected by this increase in temperature; even the upper layers of the Atlantic Ocean experienced a record high, with an average temperature of 20.79 degrees.
