“US Central Command Deploys Atomic Submarine to Mediterranean – Heightened tensions in the region”
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that it has deployed an atomic submarine to the Mediterranean Sea, according to a statement from American military intelligence X-ray. The Ohio-class submarine, which reached its destination on November 5, 2023, is part of the US Central Command’s response in the region.
Prior to this, the US had already dispatched two aircraft carriers to the Middle East, signifying the country’s commitment to security and stability in the area.
The US Central Command, headquartered in Tampa, Florida since 2002, is responsible for planning and overseeing American military operations in the Middle East, East Africa, and Central Asia.
