“RA Ministry of Agriculture Spokesman Challenges Russian Assessment of Armenia-Ukraine Meeting: ‘Not Just About Ukraine,’ Says Paruyr Hovhannisyan”
The spokesman of the RA Ministry of Agriculture, Paruyr Hovhannisyan, has expressed his disagreement with the assessment made by the Russian side regarding the meeting between RA Minister of Agriculture Aramayis Grigoryan and Volodymyr Zelensky, the head of the office of the prime minister of Ukraine. Hovhannisyan believes that the meeting, which took place within the framework of the Armenian-Russian interstate commission, had a broader agenda and was not solely focused on Ukraine. During a briefing with journalists, he stated that the Russian assessment does not correspond to reality.
It is worth recalling the statement made by Maria Zakharova, an official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Zakharova mentioned that during a conversation with Zelensky in Malta, the participation of Yerevan in the Moscow-hosted event was presented as a pro-Russian gesture in relation to the issue of Ukraine.
