Experts believe that the main goal of this presence is to escalate military operations, as both sides possess a strong air defense that hinders effective support of offensive operations. Geopolitical conditions are also considered to be playing a significant role, given the 1200 km long front line, with neither side achieving a strategic advantage in the military operations.
