“President of Armenia Acknowledges Japan’s Support and Looks Ahead to Future Collaborations”
The President of Armenia, Armen Sargsyan, met with the military attaché of Japan in Armenia and the Ambassador of Japan to Armenia, Fumikazu Fukushima, on November 2. During the meeting, President Sargsyan expressed appreciation for their diplomatic work and reiterated the warm welcome they receive in Armenia. He emphasized that their efforts greatly contribute to the development of Armenian-Japanese relations.
Sargsyan also commended Japan for its humanitarian assistance, valued at 2 million dollars, provided to more than 100,000 displaced Armenians affected by the armed aggression against Artsakh by Azerbaijan. This support was made possible through the United States. The President and the diplomats discussed potential opportunities for collaboration through the “Friendship Games” initiative, with an open invitation extended to Japan to participate.
In addition, President Sargsyan mentioned that Armenia will present at the Expo 2025 in Osaka, emphasizing the country’s participation in the international event. The meeting concluded with the President congratulating the diplomats on their previous successes in various assignments.
