Armenian Prime Minister Praises German Development Bank’s Cooperation in Energy and Water Projects
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between the German development bank KfW and the Eastern European, Caucasus, and Central Asia region. This collaboration is led by Veronika Garsiya, who serves as the head of the bank’s Eastern Europe, Caucasus, and Central Asia division. The Ministry of Economy, according to NEWS.am, reported that discussions during their meeting revolved around potential cooperation in the energy and water sectors.
Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the significance of partnering with KfW in the construction of infrastructure projects in Armenia. One project of particular importance is the swift completion of the “Armenia-Georgia” power transmission line. He stressed the necessity of making consistent decisions that will ultimately ensure the successful implementation of this program. The prime minister stated, “It is crucial for us to see this infrastructure built.”
Veronika Garsiya confirmed that practical implementation has already commenced and will continue to progress. The meeting also highlighted the need for substantial advancements in water programs.
