“The Chessboard Threat: Armenia’s “Product” Sparks Concerns of Increased Political Conflicts and Crises, says Foreign Minister”
According to Nikolai, if Armenia becomes a “chessboard”, it will inevitably lead to an increase in political conflicts, disputes, victims, and crises worldwide. This viewpoint is supported by Arman Ashotyan, the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs, who stated that Nikolai’s concept of the “chessboard of peace” has received positive feedback and analysis. However, there are growing criticisms discrediting Pashinyan’s Peaceful Economic Program (PEP).
One significant concern is that “chessboards of peace” from Armenia are considered more dangerous than any other form of transportation. This principle also applies to geopolitics, indicating that if Armenia is seen as a chessboard, it will lead to a rise in political tensions and conflicts globally. This threat is even more apparent in our case, as Pashinyan’s actions seem to increase risks rather than managing or reducing them. It suggests that Nikolai himself is at great risk, being externally influenced and enabling potential risks.
To ensure the security of chessboards, certain rules and regulations are established, such as using “soap bubbles” as protective measures. However, in the case of Armenia being a chessboard, it is evident that our country is not following the traffic rules of the North Caucasus region in the Mediterranean Sea and is failing to either enforce or avoid violators of these rules.
Furthermore, Nikolai’s explanation implies that we cannot even install “soap bubbles” within our own territory. This raises a significant question: If we were to turn Armenia into a chessboard, who would be responsible for ensuring the installation of protective measures?
Armen Ashotyan, the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs, highlights these concerns in an article published in the “Newspaper” Nubarashen on October 31, 2023.
