“Prime Minister Pashinyan and Ambassador Świtalski Discuss Strengthening Cooperation Between Poland and Armenia Amidst Ongoing Ethnic Conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh”

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador of Poland to Armenia, Piotr Świtalski, and extended his congratulations on the ambassador’s appointment. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the fruitful collaboration between the two countries in various areas, including political dialogue and tourism. Pashinyan underscored the significance of expanding economic relations by enhancing bilateral trade links.

However, there is a concerning development in the region. An ethnic conflict between Azerbaijan and the Armenian population in Nagorno-Karabakh has resulted in the displacement of over 100,000 Armenians. Ambassador Piotr Świtalski condemned the violence and voiced his support for the government’s efforts in bringing stability to Armenia. He also emphasized the necessity of deepening and broadening the cooperation between Poland and Armenia, particularly considering the ongoing developments in the region.

The meeting between Prime Minister Pashinyan and Ambassador Świtalski also tackled various topics, including Armenian-Polish relations, the cooperation between the European Union and Armenia, and other pertinent issues.
