On October 31, in commemoration of the 44-day war of Artsakh, Kim Khachatryan, a student from the European University of Armenia and a 2nd-degree signatory of the “Marching Flag” initiative, paid tribute within the Armenian-Russian educational union “Nikol Aghbalian”. To honor Kim Khachatryan’s contributions, the educational union has announced a prestigious competition named after him.

The competition is open to students who continue their studies in Armenia despite the challenges faced after the liberation of the Republic of Artsakh. Interested participants must fill out an application form available at: https://forms.gle/6fvQ9138Ttfv5Wtr9

To apply, certain documents are required, including a curriculum vitae (CV), identification (2-5 pages), a certificate from the educational institution showing transfer from the Republic of Artsakh to the Republic of Armenia, and an essay titled “Reflections on the past, present, and future of the Artsakh movement.” Additionally, a recommendation letter from an instructor is optional.

If available, participants are encouraged to submit documents confirming their public activity, involvement in the war in Artsakh, volunteer or military service as citizens of the Republic of Armenia. These documents may include the territorial division of the military accounting book, as well as the first and last pages of the military accounting book (additional documents).

The deadline for submission is December 25, 2023. Once the application is submitted, participants will receive a confirmation email to the provided address.

Furthermore, the top five essays from the competition will be selected and evaluated separately by readers on the website as part of an independent competition. The author of the best essay, based on reader votes and evaluation, will be awarded individually by January 20, 2024.
